Frequency Deluxe began producing Psytrance in 1999 as a collaboration between two madmen, Alex Cornfeld & Ken Small aka DNA Prototype. In mid 2000, Shanti Matkin, a long time member of GMS, arrived in L.A. and joined the Frequency Deluxe team. The unique sound of Frequency Deluxe began to pour out of the studio. Frequency Deluxe has been released on Agriglyph Records, Digital Psionics, Spun Records and Solar Flares.

Alex Cornfeld

Born and bred in New York City, Alex Cornfeld came to Hollywood, California to make it in the film industry. While living in L.A., he became addicted to psychedelic trance and quickly found himself becoming a master DJ. Soon after he created Lost Lab Studios, where Frequency Deluxe music is produced.

Ken Small aka DNA Prototype

Lifetime astist, born is Los Angeles, Ken started Djing & producing electronic music in the late '80s. Ken aka DNA Prototype is also a metaverse building consultant in Secondlife. Currently employed by the Electric Sheep Company & founder of Demented Circuitry, a successful business that sells virtual DJ & Club products inside the world of Second Life.
